Adirondacks, NY: Mt. Van Hoevenberg is a 2.2 mile hike which is accessed from "South Meadow" along the ADK Lodge road. We had to circumnavigate this good-sized marsh which took about 30 minutes because of deep, sucking mud on the trail. Well, what do you expect? This is the Adirondacks!
