Adirondacks, NY: The day was bright, clear and brisk. The steep 1775 foot climb was unrelenting after a flat "walk in the park" section at the beginning of the hike. There were a few tricky ledge scrambles which led to this open summit and spectacular views. We ate a hurried lunch and then departed because of high winds and frigid temperatures.
