Estes Park, Colorado: Behind the Stanley Hotel a herd of elk have found a protected place to graze until the winter snows melt sufficiently to allow them to move back up into the mountains. The red fire hydrant and surrounding homes didn't seem to bother them in the least. They didn't even mind me - I got pretty close.
